Panther wunderkid Michael Frolik’s rookie season couldn’t have gone any better. The talented Czech scored 21 goals, adding 25 assists in 79 games, including 11 multi-point games. The Panther’s are confident that Frolik can maintain the same drive which brought him such early success.
“He’s a hard-working, honest kid, the kind of player you want to build a young team around,” DeBoer said. “I’m not worried about the sophomore jinx with him. I don’t think it’ll be an issue, and frankly, we can’t afford it to be an issue. We need him. Last year wasn’t a fluke; he’s not a flash-in-the-pan. This kid is the real deal. I don’t know what his numbers are going to be, but I know what kind of effort he’s going to give every night.”
Frolik is still a relative unknown in a lot of fantasy circles and could be a draft day steal. Snap him up if get your hands on him.
