Swedish goaltender Jonas Gustavsson was supurb once again, stopping 34 of the 36 shots he faced, as the Leafs beat the Hurricanes 3-2 Friday night in Raleigh.
For those of you who are not familiar with the rookie Gustavsson, he has been nothing short of a revelation for the Maple Leafs. The Leaf’s goalie of the future is now their number one netminder, putting up decent numbers which will continue to improve as his comfort level increases. Gustavsson is owned in only 11% of Yahoo leagues so most are unaware of one of the next up-and-coming goaltending prospects. If you are lucky enough to have a shot at this kid in your league snap him up ASAP.
