Senators GM Bryan Murray is breathing a sigh of relief after ridding himself of Dany Heatley. As part of the deal Ottawa gains some depth at the forward position acquiring Milan Michalek, and Jonathan Cheechoo.
Cheechoo has seen better days, but was once himself a 50 goal man, while the 25 year old Michalek could score 30 goals for the Sens. Either way the Heatley situation was a black cloud hanging over the Sens training camp. With this resolved now they can get down to business sans distractions.
